Symbio

Privacy Policy

Effective 18 August 2026

Symbio is a health companion app operated by an independent developer. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can export or delete it.

What we collect

Health data

Steps, calories, sleep and heart rate are health data. We read them on the device through Health Connect or Samsung Health, with the permissions you grant in those apps. They are uploaded only as daily aggregates, and only to grow and care for your creature. They are not used for advertising, not sold, and not shared with other companies.

Symbio is not a medical device and does not give medical advice.

How we use it

To sign you in, keep your companion in sync across devices, cook the day's points, and show history in the app. Session tokens let the phone talk to the server without sending your password each time.

What stays on the phone

Health Connect, Samsung Health and your watch apps keep their own copies. Deleting your Symbio account does not erase data those apps already stored.

Retention

We keep your account and daily history while the account exists. You can export a JSON copy or delete the account from Profile → Privacy. Deletion removes the user, the creature, daily aggregates, care events and refresh tokens from our servers. Access tokens already issued stop working as soon as the account is gone.

Your rights

You can access, export and delete your data in the app, or by emailing aleelus@gmail.com. If you signed in with Google, you can also disconnect Symbio from your Google account.

Children

Symbio is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above and the copy at this URL.
